A Network of Leaders
We bring together global companies, universities, and public agencies to accelerate the future of advanced manufacturing.
Powering Innovation Through Collaboration
Our strength lies in our members. From global industry leaders to top-tier universities and public institutions.
CCAM brings together the best minds and organizations to advance the future of manufacturing.
For an annual fee, CCAM member companies and organizations have access to accomplished engineering researchers and can pursue directed and generic research on industry scale equipment using state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing technologies.
Our members enjoy the benefits of economies of scale as they collaborate with industry peers in a resourceful and IP-friendly environment, as well as engineering and technology experts from academia and government.
Through CCAM’s unique consortium, members can access the faculty of our Academia Members.
Research Members
Our Research Members are global innovators leading the development of high-impact manufacturing technologies. They drive the evolution of advanced production systems across sectors such as energy, medicine, mobility and industrial automation.
At CCAM, they collaborate on targeted research projects and leverage a world-class technical ecosystem designed to scale new ideas into real-world applications.
Technology Members
Technology Members specialize in engineering, equipment, and digital platforms that enable the future of manufacturing.
Through CCAM, they access a collaborative environment to integrate and test their tools within real use cases, accelerate adoption, and connect with R&D partners from industry, academia and government.
Academia Members
Academic Members provide the foundation for CCAM’s mission—developing the next generation of manufacturing talent.
These institutions contribute cutting-edge research and work directly with CCAM projects while training future engineers and technologists through hands-on, interdisciplinary learning experiences. Together, we align innovation with education to strengthen the advanced manufacturing workforce.
These engineering schools combined have more than 500 faculty members conducting research and educational programs in disciplines such as: aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, systems engineering, and materials science and engineering.
Combined, CCAM university members:
- Receive more than $700 million in federally funded research
- Enroll more than 9,000 undergraduate engineering students and more than 3,000 graduate engineering students
- Produce more than 1,600 undergraduate engineering degrees and more than 1,000 graduate engineering degrees each year
Faculty from these institutions work exclusively at CCAM staff and are dedicated to membership research priorities
Government Members
Government Members partner with CCAM to advance national priorities in innovation, security and competitiveness. Research efforts focus on aerospace, defense, naval systems and aerospace manufacturing.
Through CCAM, public agencies gain access to cross-sector collaboration, talent development pipelines, and infrastructure for early-stage testing and technology readiness acceleration.
